Day 1 - Anchorage, Alaska

We woke up to a dreary morning in Anchorage, but you can't let that stop you when you are on vacation. We decided to head out to Kincaid Park.  We walked part of the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. The rain had cleared up at this point, and we enjoyed our walk.  We followed the path for a while, but when we decided to head back to the car we took a path less traveled.  We left 90 degree temperatures in Georgia, but fall had clearly arrived for Anchorage.  The hike was beautiful!

Now that's a leaf!

She is always quick to spot any pink foliage.

That's part of our "pass less traveled."

We drove to Lake Hood which is the busiest float plane airport in the world. Boy has it changed in the last 15 years! We did get to see a float plane land, but we couldn't get our cameras out in time for a picture.

Stunning scenery even on a dreary day!

We wrapped up our day at Flat Top Mountain.
