Fall Break

This is our first year to have a full week off for fall break.  Usually we just get a Friday - Monday break, but man, I'm loving this week off.  We were super lazy on Monday.

On Tuesday we met some friends at the mall to check out the lego exhibit they had there this week.

Wednesday we met Marc for lunch then the girls played at Catch Air.  They pretty much had the place to themselves for 2 hours.

Thursday Marc took the day off, we visited Nana, and went to dance classes.

Friday we tackled projects like: hanging pictures, puttying nail holes in the basement, caulking in the basement, organizing a desk cabinet, fixing a couple "issues" with my van, changing old pictures in picture frames in the girls' room, hanging more things in their rooms, rearranging Brooke's room, lesson planning, pulled out all of Brooke's clothes that didn't fit and brought her fall/winter clothes up from the basement, cooked a yummy chili dinner, and probably a few other things I'm missing.

Phew! But it felt so good to get those projects done.

Today we did some much needed fall clothes shopping for the girls and we are going to enjoy the evening with friends.  It has been a great balance of laziness and productivity!

Soccer

When school starts, soccer starts. This year cousin Molly is playing on Brooke's team.  They are the Lady Penguins.

Kayla and Macy are playing on the team Sporting Upward... which was quickly changed by the girls on  the team to the Wildcats. Can't blame them.

Strategy talks.

It's not too often that I get both girls in the same shot on the large field.

We are looking forward to another great soccer season!
