Father's Day Pool Time

The only pictures I took on Father's Day were ones at the pool.  The girls looked beautiful in their matching dresses, so I will definitely have to take pictures of them again soon.  Kayla and Macy were so excited to give Daddy his presents so he opened them before church. After lunch Marc took a nap with Macy, Brooke took her nap, and Kayla and I relaxed on the couch. Take out barbecue was followed by a trip to the pool.

All three of the girls enjoyed jumping into Daddy's arms.  I don't like to get splashed, so I leave most of the catching to him. :)

And then there is Miss Priss who loves to walk around and scare us with how close she runs up to the edge.  She hasn't fallen in, and we are always right there, but boy does she keep us on our toes and our hearts pounding!

A Bit More Summer Fun

We took a little adventure downtown this weekend. Marc had to pick up some Braves tickets, and we had to go to the box office to get them. Stinks to have to drive all the way down there, but we made an afternoon of it.  After picking the tickets up we took the girls to Centennial Olympic Park.  They played in the fountains - well Kayla and Brooke didn't want to get too close, but Macy had a ball.  We walked to the CNN center for dinner, watched the water show at the fountains, played on the playground, and grabbed milkshakes for the girls and Marc. When we got home they took a bath and collapsed into bed.  :)

Yesterday Kayla got out one of the kid cookbooks and searched out something yummy to make.  She opted for cookie pizzas which they really enjoyed making. It's hard to believe that we have been out of school for a month! Next week the girls have dance camp in the morning and swim lessons in the evening.  The following week is VBS in the morning and swim lessons in the evening. Add in a couple of doctor's appointments and we are going to have a crazy couple of weeks! It also means that Brooke will only get one nap every day.  This will either be a great transition time down to one nap, or it will make for some really, really long days. I am hoping for the former. ha!

Dressing Up and Broccoli

We have been having a fun and busy summer.  I am trying to plan something fun for the girls to do every day so our days don't look the same.  That would make for a very LONG summer. We have been to the playground, painted, played with playdough, made bouncy balls, gone to Target for icees, watched movies, gone to the bounce house, gone to the pool, they have spent the night at Nini's house, and other fun stuff.  One night these 4 girls made an elaborate plan for a fairy show and then after a cookout we were able to sit down at watch.  They have so much fun together.

And little Miss Brooke has officially been introduced to the world of dress-up. 

By the time I realized what the light was doing to the picture Brooke was done with posing (after about 10 seconds), so this was the best I got of all three girls dressed up.

Broccoli.  She LOVES broccoli.  She has been my pickiest eater so far - I mean what child refuses to eat chicken nuggets from CFA? We thought we were doing good with getting her to eat cucumbers, but we have recently discovered her love for the little green trees. After dinner one night I was cleaning up the kitchen and she climbed into my chair to have another helping.  

Oldies, but Goodies

I have a little point and shoot camera that I keep in my purse.  I don't use it too often, but I am always glad that I have it on hand when I need a picture.  Tonight I pulled the card out and found pictures all the way back to August of last year. Here are some of the ones that make me smile.

August: Kayla put her feet up on the exersaucer and Brooke put them in her mouth.  Kayla decided that since Brooke likes to put her feet in her mouth she would see if Brooke would like her feet too. 

September: She loves her baby sister!

Her first attempt at drinking out of a straw was a success.  She has been hooked ever since.

February: We went to the movies and let the girls pick out a treat.  This icee is a SMALL size.

May: And she still loves those juice boxes.

May: Macy went to her friend Brooks' birthday party.  Brooks is only 4 days older than Macy and so they have been in the same class at church since they were itty bitty babies.  A firetruck came to the party and Macy got to sit in the front seat, take a ride around the block, dress up, and spray the water hose.  She had such a great time.

It's time for bed now, so I will have to update with all of the current stuff another time.

We're Still Here!

This has been the longest blogging break I remember taking.  I haven't done it intentionally, but our evenings have been consumed with vacation planning.  To celebrate our 10 year anniversary we wanted to take a nice trip.  We have scoured the internet for deals until our brains were fried and everything started to look the same.  We finally decided on returning to the Mayan Riveria, where we went on our honeymoon.  We will be staying at a different resort for a different experience.  So, I will try to catch up on some blogging, including some older pictures I found on a different camera, but in one month I will be here and I CAN NOT WAIT!
