Back to School Pictures

A couple of weeks ago we had some pictures taken of the girls.  A sweet friend of mine has a beautiful daughter that has begun exploring the art of photography. She just turned 16 and she was also one of my 1st and 2nd grade science students.  So very hard to believe. Anyway, she was offering a special deal to take back to school pictures. I asked if she wouldn't mind taking some regular pictures of the girls as well.  It's always such a struggle to get good pictures ourselves and stress levels get too high. Thankfully she was willing and we ended up with some great pictures.

It is so hard to believe that my oldest child is now in 4th grade. I taught 4th grade before having children and I can't believe I now have a 4th grader. And I have no problem admitting that I'm super excited about her learning American History this year.  I fell in love with our history while teaching it and I can't wait to pass along some of that love to her.

Macy is in 2nd grade and she has been looking forward to it for at least 6 months. She enjoyed 1st grade, but she can't wait to do "Christmas Around the World" in a couple of months.  It's the biggest thing she has been excited about.

And my baby is in preschool.  The older two never went to preschool and I had no plans for Brooke to attend either.  The Lord had different plans for our family this year and she is having such a great time. The only negative is that she is now taking a nap every day she is there which means she is up late that night.  She doesn't sleep in so then we pay for it the next day. I'm thankful for this experience for her.

Such sweet sisters who love each other so much. So thankful.

The girls were concerned that there were no pictures with us in them.  A quick last minute picture turned out to be one of my favorites as well.
