We planned a combined graduation, summer vacation, and delayed 20th anniversary (thanks to covid) trip to Europe. So much planning went into this trip. When we take big vacations we like to do as much as we can while we are there.
We had a layover in New York City, so we grabbed some dinner and played some cards.
Sleeping on a plane is really hard for me, but these three managed to get some sleep.
We landed in London around 10AM. We made our way to our rental, and then we headed out to explore. Our hope was to stay awake until bedtime, so we knew we needed to keep busy.
Our first stop just down from our rental was Saint George's Cathedral Southwark.
We continued on, found some ice-cream, and then saw Shakespeare's Globe Theater. It's been reconstructed, but since the older two have studied some of his writings, it was interesting to see.
After stopping by the "grocery store" around the corner from where we were staying, we called it a night.
