Fort Morgan Family Vacation

We just got back from a family vacation with Marc's side of the family.  We started planning this about a year ago, because that's how long it takes to coordinate schedules. Ha! We planned this before we knew we would be in a push to build a house and sell another one.  On one hand the timing was terrible.  On the other hand it was perfect.

In the days leading up to our departure, a tropical storm had formed in the gulf.  It was headed to the gulf coast of Alabama, and we debated what to do.  We decided to go ahead and go down.  We'd keep an eye on the weather and relocate if needed. Thankfully we ended up missing the storm completely and we had a beautiful week.

No vacation down south is complete without a stop by Whataburger.

Fort Morgan is about 20 minutes away from any shops or restaurants, so we made a stop at Walmart on our way in to get some supplies for the week. We had no room left in the car after that.

It didn't take long for the girls to make their way to the beach.

It only took about 20 attempts to get everyone off the ground with Lily running through so we could have all of the cousins in one shot.

A little paddleball on the beach.

And we celebrated these two May birthdays after dinner. It was a great start to our vacation.
