Pumpkin Patch Picture Overload

We had a great morning at the pumpkin patch and the weather was absolutely beautiful. My sister brought Molly for her first trip and my mom joined us as well.

And of course we love a good hay ride!

One year we put Kayla and Macy in a wheelbarrow for fun and decided to snap a couple of pictures.  They turned out to be some of our favorite pictures of the day, so of course we had to do it again.

"Heah - be!"

And then they were done.
We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed some time in the sunshine.

Waiting to catch some falling leaves.

Playing in the creek.

I love the fall and all of the fun things that come with it. Next family adventure: scenic mountain drive to Gatlinburg for a short vacation.

Enjoying the Fall Weather

So the first two pictures have nothing to do with fall.  I just wanted to document this cutie watching television.  Most of the time she could care less what show is on (except for the car, she thinks the movie should always be on when we are in the car), but she LOVES Bubble Guppies.  She will run to us with the remote in her hand saying, "Bubbie, Bubbie." And please ignore the mantle and boxes.  We weren't completely settled in the new house when I took these pictures.  Hey, who am I kidding, we still aren't completely settled.

Today was a no assignment day for school so we opted to head out on a little adventure instead.  I took the girls to a little lake and we fed the geese.  The girls were quite scared when the geese started walking toward us.  I guess they are used to people feeding them because before I could pull the bread out they were within feet of us.  Brooke enjoyed it, but it took someone else feeding the ducks out of their hands for the girls to get over their fears and come closer.  They had a great time throwing out bread.

Even Brooke threw dropped a few pieces.

Such a gorgeous morning!

Tonight after dinner we took a walk/bike ride to the playground.  Brooke loved being pushed on this little tricycle.

Macy's "stink face."

Marc and Kayla like to play a game called "Clean Up Your Room." They throw the balls across the driveway and I have to throw them back as fast as I can.  It's quite a workout and as you can see they can throw a lot of balls at one time.

Moving

Well, tonight will be our second night in our new home.  It has been a LONG weekend, and it's only Saturday night! Throughout the process of having our house on the market and preparing for showings, our prayer has always been for God to sell our house in His timing.  We knew that there was no point in stressing over selling our house (even when cleaning the house for a showing with 3 kids around got stressful), because ultimately God would bring the perfect buyers to our house.  We know that this has been His perfect timing, but boy did He have a smile on his face when He did it.  Not only have we packed and moved, but we went to a Braves game last night (tickets were bought before we sold our house), and we participated in the neighborhood garage sale today. The girls have been such troupers throughout the process, and I am thankful for grandparents that have helped out so much keeping girls so that they could have some fun this weekend.

One morning last week while Kayla was at school I brought the other two over to the townhouse while I unloaded some boxes. They had a nice little setup with the television and even enjoyed a snack out on the deck.  I think we are really going to enjoy the deck this fall, even if the neighbors are right there next to you.

And tomorrow's project will be tackling this mess.  Upstairs is in pretty good shape.  Setting the girls' rooms up was our priority.  I think we are going to take a little break tomorrow afternoon and relax and enjoy some family time.  The past few days have had us back and forth, loading and unloading.

And to think, after we get settled in we get to do it again in the spring, Lord willing, when our new home is finished being built!

Summer is Winding Down

Maybe one day I will get back to blogging on a more regular basis.  These catch-up posts are getting long! As I sit here I am surrounded by boxes that will slowly start making their way out of our house TODAY! It is so hard to believe that in a few hours we will have the key to our townhome and we close on this house a week from tomorrow, Lord willing.

We finally had a cool morning last week so I sent the girls out to play.  It was still early (by our standards) and they still had their pajamas on. Click on the picture below to see it larger.  I love the way they are looking at each other!

Not sure how much longer they will all fit in the jeep.

Marc picked up some water balloons on clearance a few weeks ago.  We quickly found out why they were on sale - those things were hard to tie! He and Brooke worked on making a nice pile before surprising Kayla and Macy with a few hits.

Yes, she has on two different color flip-flops. Yes, she did it on purpose.

All 4 of them started to fill some more balloons, but they found a few with leaks in them. Here is Marc right after he got sprayed.

And Kayla thought it was fun to pop them in her hands.

Getting sprayed.

Trying to catch some water in her mouth.

The girls have watched a few movies over the last week as I have been packing.

Marc cleaned out the attic and brought the sled down. Kayla made a bed to watch the movie in.

And we went to the pool one last time for the season.

We have been staying so busy enjoying the cooler weather, homeschooling, and packing. I'm ready to move on in to fall.  The pumpkin spice candle is already burning!
