It never fails that when I dress the girls alike someone stops me to ask if they are twins. That blows my mind because they are 2 years apart and don't really look alike. It's not easy to find 3 different sizes in a matching outfit, especially newborn sizes. Thanks to my mom for this set. Think anyone will ask if they are triplets?? haha

Special Photographer
Last week I went to get a much needed haircut. This was the first time I left Brooke when she would need a bottle. Of course I was sad to miss seeing and documenting this "first" so Marc set it up with a guest photographer - Kayla. I'd say she did a pretty good job for a 4 year old! She got a few really good ones.
Sabatoge
I've had one of those weeks where each night I say "tomorrow I'll be good about what I eat" and each day I say "I'll start tomorrow." I have already lost all of my baby weight plus a little, but I really want to take advantage of the extra calories I burn by nursing Brooke. I mean, can you burn 500 calories a day any easier? When Marc asked if I wanted any Girl Scout cookies I said "34 tagalongs." Was I serious? Of course not! So he came home with 4 boxes instead. He will eat maybe 1 per box. That leaves 14 for me unless I share with the girls. Has anyone ever looked at the nutritional information on those things? No wonder they are so good. I figured that since I was going to eat them all I might as well just get it over with and move forward after that, right? So today at the grocery store (and there is a reason I usually shop by myself) I saw a bag of the mini cadbury eggs that I have heard several people rave about. I made a comment that I wasn't even going to try them because if I did I was afraid I would keep eating them. So what does he do? When we walked back by them on the way to check-out he grabs a bag and then proceeds to tell Kayla to bring them to me. She of course just sticks them on the conveyor belt because she knows Daddy wanted to get them. Gee thanks honey. I would like to wear something other than pants and long sleeves to the beach this summer. He opened them shortly after getting home and the temptation was too great. I am happy to report that I wasn't too impressed and can probably pass on the rest of the bag. After all, I do have 4 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to go through...

Taken for Granted
I have been thinking a lot lately about how blessed I am and how much I take for granted. Even just the ability to drive to Chick-fil-A, eat a yummy breakfast, and let the girls play in an empty play area while I read or type up a blog using the free wireless they have here is a blessing.
Some things I take for granted:
Some things I take for granted:
- A husband who loves me despite my many faults. Who so willingly helps around the house (including laundry and cleaning the bathrooms and dirty dishes). Who insists that Brooke's cradle is on his side of the bed so when she wakes up hungry he can change her diaper while I lay there for an extra couple of minutes or puts her paci back in if she starts fussing. I could go on and on with this one.
- Three wonderful pregnancies and three beautiful children. As Marc likes to put it, we played and won the lottery three times.
- A healthy family.
- My mom and in-laws who are always so willing to help and keep the girls when needed.
- My husband's job that allows me to stay home with my girls, allows us to live comfortably, and is quite secure in this economy.
- Friendships that last even when I don't take the time to cultivate them as I should.
- A Sunday School class that is genuine, encouraging, and challenges me.
- The opportunity to teach children for a few hours every week and to be able to pray with and for them.
- And most importantly, a Savior who loves me and forgives me and desires a relationship with me even when I don't make it the priority it needs to be.

More Snow
Marc, Kayla, and Macy had more fun in the snow today. It was a gorgeous day and it wasn't too cold. The wind wasn't blowing and that makes such a huge difference. This was Brooke's first snow so of course I needed a picture.
They made a snow family to match our family. We don't really have much in the house to adorn our snow family with and we aren't very creative either. Really just having an entire snow family is enough for our girls.

Let It Snow!
We got some more snow today. It has been snowing for several hours and we have accumulated more snow than I remember here in Georgia. As soon as Kayla saw it was snowing she wanted to run out and catch some snowflakes on her tongue. When Macy woke up from her nap and realized it was snowing she started talking non-stop about making snowmen and snow angels. They had so much fun!
Our snowman. This one is so much bigger than the ones we can usually make with our icy dusting. Marc says they are going to build a bigger one tomorrow morning.

Brooke's Newborn Pictures
A couple of weeks ago Candace came over to take some newborn pictures for us. Candace and I grew up going to church together, and she does fabulous work. She brought the pictures over today and they turned out fabulous. Here are some of my favorites.

A Couple of Updates
There hasn't been too much going on around here other than balancing life with 3 children. I just wanted to post a few pictures.
I don't think I have included a picture of Macy holding Brooke. She loves to hold her, but it only lasts a minute before she is ready to get back to playing with her toys.

Daddy has the magic touch for getting Brooke to fall asleep during her fussy evenings. He can even get her to fall asleep sitting up!
She finally went to sleep in the swing. She usually will tolerate it for about 3 minutes before screaming to get out. Hopefully this is the beginning of a wonderful relationship.
And last, but certainly not least, she had another bath and loved it. Hopefully that will continue as well.
