Navarre Beach - Part 3

More beach time! The waves were a bit rough, but the undertow wasn't so terrible that you couldn't get out and enjoy it.

These girls learned how to play Tiki Toss while waiting for their snow cones. Brooke was actually quite good at this, and the adults at the bar were super impressed with her abilities. ha!

Back to the beach for some nap time...

and then back in the ocean again.

A little book reading...

and then back at it.

They played hard, and slept hard too.

Beach pictures are always challenging with the wind.

I have loved this time with my family!

Florida Vacation at Navarre Beach - Part 1

We postponed our summer vacation to wait and see how covid was going to continue to affect things.  We booked a townhome on the beach, in a more residential area in hopes that we could just keep mostly to ourselves.  It was a little more crowded than I would have liked, but it was still definitely covid friendly.

Someone was ready to start her vacation!

Sometimes you just don't ask questions...

Even though we were on vacation, competition clogging practice still  happened.  These two joined in on their zoom meeting from Florida.

Finally! A much needed vacation!

The water was amazingly clear.

The sunsets were gorgeous.

We made no plans other than spending our days at the beach, and it was perfect.

Kicking off Summer Break 2020 Style

Marc and I celebrated 19 years of marriage this year.  We grabbed dinner at a new, local restaurant.  Simple celebrations this year.

I have to be intentional these days to have activities available to the girls so that they don't navigate towards their electronics.

This girls is spoiled rotten.  Someone, if not all of us, has been home everyday for a couple of months. She rarely gets locked up in her room.  She gets a regular walk with the family, and lazes around on pillows, blankets, or laps most of the day.  She's clearly living her best life.

The basement project has continued.  Marc finished off the electrical and HVAC. We hired out for the drywall installation, and the girls have been excited to help us get the walls painted.  This half of the basement is moving along much faster than I expected.

We laid the flooring ourselves too.  The girls worked hard to help us get this done.

Enjoying this beautiful weather on the swings.

Thankfully we've found a few outdoor activities that have been open to combat summer bordem.

This guy has caused us (especially Marc) some distress. He has shown up a couple of times, and that's a couple of times too many.

He has now found his final resting place inside of a brick retaining wall.

You know quarantine and semi-isolation is getting to you when you create a game based on the pandemic and quarantine life.

This has been a project filled season of life.  Marc extended the deck so that he can roll his grill out from underneath the porch covering.  Riley thinks this was actually built for her.

Of course we had a hail storm.  It's 2020.

The basement is finally finished and the girls have enjoyed turning this into  the dance studio for Zoom classes.

The girls finally had another clogging performance! They performed outdoors for a daycare center.  This was Brooke's first performance, and it was so much fun to see all three girls out there together.
