Spring Break

Kayla decided she wanted to go on a mission trip this year during her spring break.  She chose to go to one in downtown Atlanta to work with the Dream Center.  She was gone all week, and she had a wonderful time.  She learned and grew so much on this trip.  Although we all missed her like crazy, I am happy she took this step of faith and watched God provide and work in so many ways.

The rest of us had some fun over the break too. We tried out a new putt-putt place. Putt-putting has never been so stylish. 😆

Kayla enjoyed her mission trip so much, but the food wasn't her favorite part. I saw this picture on social media one day and wondered what our poor girl was going to eat! Mexican rice and beans are not on her favorite things to eat list... or really on a like list. When she got back we found out she ate a lot of lettuce.

We were so happy to get this girl back at the end of the week.  I think she was kind of happy to see us too. :)

He Has Risen!

Happy Easter from the Dutton Family.

Sweet girl just couldn't make it through service.

We ran into some friends on the way out of service.

Silly faces! Silly Macy!

This one opted to chase the dog to get the Easter egg away from her rather than hunting for them herself. I guess the days of searching for eggs are starting to come to a close.  Although I'm always up for a good egg hunt!

Dancin' Time!

These two had a daddy-daughter sock hop at school this month.

So of course Marc took them to a diner for dinner. They like to visit the Waffle House whenever I'm not there. I'll eat there, but I'd prefer to eat somewhere else. :)

Best Friends

Macy also had her first clogging performance at the Canton Egg Fest this year.  She was nervous, but she did so well!

March House Update

We have basement walls! And mud! And a pond!

This rain has been insane! And every time we try to do something to clean it up, it rains again.

These two worked HARD to clear out the water so the basement slab could be poured.  And this little system where Brooke pushed water to Marc was her idea.  It worked amazingly well, and she was so proud of her self.

Finally!

The girls were wearing shorts a couple weeks ago and here we are back in winter coats. But we have basement walls! Making progress!

A Quick Trip

Why is it that the messes all begin right before bedtime?

Macy is happiest when she has queso.  Kidding (sorta).

In the midst of the chaos our life has become in building this house, we took the girls to Dollywood.  It was good to get a way for a couple of days just to focus on something non-house related.

Someone was excited to ride in the front of the Fire Chaser.

The 50's cars are another ride that we can't leave without riding.  Unless the line is long, which is crazy to me how this ride ends up with such a long line sometimes.

It was a fun little weekend away before we jumped right back into house stuff... and more mud...

Random March Happenings

More bedtime messes.

Macy's sweet Sunday School teacher was having a baby, so a couple of the mom's from the class hosted a baby shower.  It was so fun to see these girls playing baby games and having so much fun. Macy tried all 9 of these baby foods and got most of them right!

We also had some time for backyard soccer. In dresses, of course.
