Sixteen seasons of Upward Soccer have come to an end. We've watched the girls learn new skills, learn how to play a team sport, and grow as players. 10 weeks of our year for the past 15 years, and 20 weeks the year we played two seasons as they switched from spring soccer to fall soccer, have been spent on the soccer field. It's hard to believe this chapter of our lives is closing. The girls are toying with the idea of coaching in the fall, but my days of watching them play are over. I'll miss our Saturday games, but I'm thankful for the time they had on the field.
The season wouldn't be over without one last stop by "the creepy gas station" for ice-cream.
