Summer Cheer Camp

Brooke is always ready to participate in cheer clinic, but this year they offered a week long cheer camp.  She was so excited to participate in this one.  I'm not sure if we have a future cheerleader on our hands, but for now she is enjoying it.

Braves Game

A generous friend offered up his Braves tickets.  They only have 4, so I insisted that Marc accept them and take the girls.  An afternoon to myself isn't a terrible way to spend the day. 😂

A food allowance came with the tickets, so everyone was well fed.

And they were hot.  They put ice on their heads to help cool them off.

And found shade any way that they could.

More free food,

and a nice little set up to boot.

They all had such a great afternoon!

House Updates and BIG News!

While we were at the beach our spray foam insulation was installed. We are big believers in the benefits of spray foam.

This sweet girl loves exploring and creating in the backyard.  I have no idea what she was working on, but she was focused and having fun.

I think that might be a frog in her hands. She's getting braver everyday.

So we have some BIG news! We are officially under contract. It was an emotional roller coaster getting here, and they almost backed out when we countered.  But in the end, they loved the house and wanted to make it work for their family. So we now have 6 weeks to finish the house and move. Pressure is on! These girls are taking a packing break to do some drawing on my packing boxes.

Drywall is done, and now it is time to paint.

Gutters are being installed here.  They are formed and cut on sight.

This one helped me stain the wood that would be installed in the foyer. I'm super excited about this design idea. I'm not a designer, hey, I'm not even creative, but I can find pictures I like and replicate them... or ask hubby to replicate them. 😄

I am so excited about the shiplap in my sunroom.  Sam did an awesome job installing it, but there are so. many. nail holes to putty.  We have some great, cheap labor to help us out with this one.

Exterior brick is done.

Cabinets are being installed and there is so much trim to do as well.  We have managed to keep Sam super busy around here.

Fireplace is done now too! The timer is ticking on getting the house done!

June Randoms

Blowing slime bubbles.

New glasses for everyone.  Kayla and Macy use theirs to read, and Brooke will be wearing hers for distance.

Studious little girls.

Water balloon fun with friends.

Ummm... I'm not really sure. They are cute though!

The girls clogged at a local childcare center.  At the end they get any of the children that want to participate and help them learn to clog. Macy absolutely loved this particular performance. Little ones are drawn to her, and she loves being with them.

Just some sleeping babies.

Her favorite restaurant with her favorite "salad."

Fort Morgan Part 4

We had so much fun a couple of years ago when we rented a pontoon boat at the beach.  We thought it would be a fun family outing on this trip too.

We found several dolphins out playing to kick off our morning of adventure.

Someone found a storage area to hide.

And others soon followed. Someone even fell asleep back here; I just can't remember which child.

More crab hunting before we all headed home.  It was a great time away, but like all vacations, they come to an end.  And then it was back to the realities of house building.

Fort Morgan Part 3

With all of our time at the beach, we still managed to spend some time at the pool (no pictures for some reason).

Many naps were taken, and multiple books were read.

 Family pictures were attempted.

We found a fun community area with food trucks and lawn games.  The girls enjoyed some Italian ice before running around and playing games.
