Friday was our last day in Australia. Marc was off of work that day so we grabbed the bus and headed out to Bondi Beach. When researching Sydney almost all websites said the walk from Bondi to Coogee was a must do. The entire walk would have been more than the girls would be up for, so we just made it to Tamarama before we turned around and came back.

The coastal walk was one of the most spectacular places I have ever been. The depth of the water at the shoreline changes around every bend.
The water color varied many shades of blue and green depending on the depth of the water, the sunlight, and the location we were standing. It was truly amazing.
The vastness of the Pacific, and we only caught a glimpse. It took 14 hours to fly over it.
Around this rocky bend was Tamarama. Marc thought we could grab some lunch here, let the girls play in the water, then head back to the hotel. Once we made it around the bend we noticed that shoreline was closed off and there wasn't really anywhere to eat. They was a little snack hut, so we grabbed some ice-cream (because it was getting quite warm outside) and decided to walk back to Bondi. Bondi was one of the larger beach areas and it was a little more touristy. We figured we definitely be able to find lunch there.

We finally made it back to Bondi and grabbed lunch at McDonald's. This location had kiosks that you placed your order at. The future of fast food dining starts in Australia. It was an open air building and we had a bird fly right over our heads to try and steal our lunch.
For this trip to the beach I got smart and packed an extra set of clothes to play in.

Someone else's clothes got wet. This one wasn't too happy.
We ended beach time far before they were ready, but there is only so much time one should play in freezing cold water. It was time to dry off, change clothes, and head back to Darling Harbour.

Back at our hotel and we had another dinner decision to make. We decided to go back to Stacks again tonight. The girls ate well and there was the bonus of vegetables. Marc decided to go a little crazy and order a kangaroo appetizer. It is so bizarre to me that restaurants serve kangaroo, but I did try it too. It was actually very tasty, and much like a tender steak. If it were steak we would have eaten the entire plate, but knowing what we were eating we could only enjoy a couple of bites.
The girls crashed hard when we returned to the hotel. Normally they would force themselves stay awake and play on their kindles until I said lights out, but I think all three of them chose to just sleep. It had been an amazing, busy, adventure-filled trip, and we were all sad to see it come to an end.
The next morning we headed to the airport to begin our long journey home. Saturday was literally the longest day of our lives with the time-change. We left Australia Saturday morning, traveled for 20 hours, and landed Saturday around dinner time.
And we were so glad to finally be back in Georgia. I told Marc it would be a LONG time before I was ready to fly like that again. We've been home less than a month, and I told Marc this morning I'd go back anytime. :)
