Beach Vacation Part 1

We took out beach vacation early this year so we could go with Marc's family.  Chris and Amanda have been in Africa and it's been a while since we have seen them.  The week started off rainy and we were all thankful when the sun returned for some beautiful days.

I couldn't even tell you how many times the girls went over these lily pads. Brooke absolutely loved them.

One morning when we thought we would be dodging rain we decided to go putt-putt. Each time we go the girls are able to enjoy the game a little longer. 18 holes is a lot of putting for little ones.  I think everyone was happy through about hole 12. :)

After putt-putt we were going to grab lunch at Five Guys, but right next door was a brand new Whataburger.  No brainer that the 5 of us changed plans.  It was our anniversary and all. After naps we sent the girls to stay with the rest of the family so Marc and I could go our for our anniversary.

We ate at Wolf Bay Lodge. It was casual and yummy.  A perfect beach date night.

Celebrating Macy

We had a great day celebrating Macy. Unfortunately I had a mandatory meeting I had to be at from 9:30 - 3:00 on her birthday.  We were both a little bummed, but Daddy made her day super special and I ended up getting out of my meeting a little early too.

After opening presents from her sisters they headed out to a bounce house for some fun.  They had lunch at Grammie and Grampie's house which included a surprise visit from a few friends.

Macy has been saving her money up for an American Girl doll.  That's all she really wanted so we gave her a gift card to help her buy one and some clothes for her new doll.

Kate is her new doll and Kayla decided to bring her wallet and found a baby doll she wanted.

Macy wanted a tea party with her friends.  The girls got to make hair clips and Marc was the super hot gluer. He's a good craft guy when you tell him exactly what to do.

The chocolate fountain was a hit.

The big kids had their own table.

And it all comes back to the cardboard on the hill.

Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Happy 7th Birthday, Macy!

Sweet Macy.  I don't even know where to begin. Tomorrow morning you will be seven. That is crazy to me.  I can remember exactly how I felt 7 years ago as I waited for you to be born.  It was a bit of a scary delivery with your heart rate dropping, but you were perfect.

You are such a sweet, caring little girl.  You love to snuggle and you have made it quite the habit to come into our room in the middle of the night.  You no longer come to our bed because you know I will take you back to your bed.  Instead you crawl up in the recliner and daddy moves you to the bed when he gets up.  I wish we had a bigger bed to snuggle in together.  You are your sisters are getting too big!

You still sleep with rabbit most every night. He is looking a little worn, but he is well loved.

You love playing outside and finding all sorts of treasures out there.  In fact, last week I was putting the winter coats away and when I picked up yours it was heavy.  Turns out you had filled a pocket with rocks. You love to get out and explore.

This year you chose to take a break from dance and try out a gymnastics/tumbling class.  It hasn't been your favorite thing, but I'm so proud of you for sticking with it.  Next year it's back to tap and jazz for you.

We just wrapped up your 1st grade year.  You have had such a wonderful year and are reading and writing so well.  Your daddy and I are so proud of how hard you have worked and all the things you have learned.  I know 2nd grade will be awesome for you too!

You never fail to make your daddy and me laugh.  The things that you do and say are so precious and fill our lives with so much joy.  This picture of you during one of our many snow days this year completely sums up your fun-loving personality.

Some of your favorites:
subject: art and math
game: Life and Minecraft
color: green
food: chick-fil-a, macaroni and cheese
drink: grape fanta
movie: Frozen

Macy,
I am so incredibly proud of you and proud to call you my daughter.  I am beyond blessed that God chose to let us raise you.  You are beautiful, kind, caring, silly, and smart.  All that wrapped up into a one little package.  Thank you for being my gal.
Love,
Mommy

Brooke's First Dance Recital

I am overwhelmed at the cuteness of this little 4 year old dancing (so there is picture overload - ha!). At the dress rehearsal she just stood on stage.  I was so proud of her for dancing at the recital!

Brooke and her friend Waverly. We had fun getting to know her and her mom this year.

I love my sweet little dancer!
