Happy 16th Birthday Macy!

 Sixteen. Sweet sixteen for this sweet girl. 

Her friends came over after finals at school.  They enjoyed hanging out at home with pizza and cookie cake, and then we took them to an escape room and a Mexican dinner.

Our waitress was great and loved celebrating with the girls. She was taking pictures with them and just helping them have the best time.

Macy, 

My sweet, quiet, introverted girl is sixteen! This feels like such a milestone. This hasn't been the easiest year for your, but you've come through with flying colors. You took on a role for the school newspaper, and it stretched you, but you excelled. When you put your mind to something you will accomplish your goal.  You are reflective and always thinking of alternate options and possibilities. I am so grateful to have a front-row seat to watching you continue to grow in your faith and who you are as a person.  You are deeply loved.

Things Not to Forget in the Hectic Month of May

Special for sure.

She got in the pool fully clothed which means she wasn't thinking straight. She hates being in wet clothes. I guess that's what the month of May will do to you. 

When you want to be in the pool, but you don't want to change into your swimsuit.

Senior Walk. This is such a sweet tradition at our school, and it was surreal to have a child participating.

These two go all the way back to kindergarten. While they don't see each other as often as they use to, I know they treasure the time they have spent together over the years.
