Gibbs Gardens

I have been wanting to visit Gibbs Gardens for quite a while, so we finally made a plan to visit this morning.  My mom joined us and we picked up lunch from our new favorite sandwich shop. It was a perfect day outside and everyone had a great time.  We ended up buying the 4 seasons pass so we can go back again soon.

The roses were in full bloom and spectacular.

The hydrangeas were just starting to bloom, but we found some in a sunny area.

Silly girls. This was Macy's idea.

We recorded 8000+ steps and 14 flights of stairs.  Maybe we walked off the cake we had at lunch...

Mother's Day

I was spoiled on Mother's Day weekend.  I relaxed on the porch with a book, took a nap, did no cooking or cleaning, and just enjoyed every moment with my family.

They also gave me some sweet, thoughtful gifts. I'm one blessed mama.

Randomness

Here are just some random pictures that I wanted to post and some momentous occasions. Like Macy getting her ears pierced...

Some cousin fun...

Two sisters enjoying a treat while waiting on the oldest to perform at the Canton Egg Fest.

We celebrated my grandmother's 88th birthday.  My cousin, his wife, and daughter flew in from Texas for a few days.  This was the first time my grandmother (and us) had met little Alex.

These two enjoyed painting the rock at their school for Kayla's birthday.

Kayla had another performance at the Big Shanty Festival. It was the first time she clogged in her uniform. She did such a great job!

And it was HOT outside so something cold was definitely needed.

Macy was Fern in our Charlotte's Web play.  She did an amazing job, and we were so proud of her!

I think that's enough of the random pictures for now.  I'll eventually get caught up on this blog. School is OUT as of today and we are all very excited to have more free time.

Kindergarten Graduation

Somehow, someone allowed my baby to complete kindergarten.  I'm not sure how that happened, but she sure was excited to be a 1st grader. :)

They sang a couple of songs including "Let Us Go" for kindergartners heading out to 1st grade. They got to hold these balloons until one point in the song where they let them go.  I was quite impressed at the kids holding on to their balloons until just the right second.

Brooke always loves to have the attention of her family, but not so much the attention of a crowd.

She was on cloud 9 all day.  We are so proud of you Brooke and all you have learned in kindergarten! I know you will have an amazing year in 1st grade too!
