I never buy clothes with so many words or phrases on them, but I couldn't resist this one. Mommy did get her Christmas wish. Macy started sleeping through the night about a week or so before Christmas. It's amazing how different one can feel after getting a full nights sleep for a couple of weeks straight!I don't know how I managed for so long, but I guess God just gives you the strength to take care of the needs of your children.

Christmas
We had a wonderful Christmas, but also a very busy one. We had a lot of family in town and made the rounds to see all of them. We want to make sure the girls know the reason we celebrate Christmas and not focus so much on the presents. It's hard at this age, but we want to instill this in them as they grow. We had a birthday party for Jesus and made cupcakes. They didn't turn out so good, but Kayla still enjoyed the "party." On Christmas morning Marc read them the Christmas story before we came downstairs. Such a wonderful time.

Sitting Tall
Macy is now sitting up all by herself. I was hoping she would be sitting up by Christmas, but we really weren't expecting that to happen. All of a sudden she figured her balance out. I can actually leave her sitting by herself and not worry that she is going to topple over! She is going to be 7 months old tomorrow. How time flies!!

Santa
We took the girls to see Santa yesterday. Kayla was very excited until she actually sat on his lap. Then she got really quiet and hardly looked at him. Before we went to see him we told Kayla she needed to tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas, and we asked her what she was going to tell him. She told us she wanted a flashlight, cupcakes, and food. (Today she added boxes to the list of things she wants.) Anyway, when Santa asked what she wanted she told him that she wanted a flashlight. I don't think he understood her because he asked again. Macy just sat there, grabbed Santa's beard, and then pulled on his hat.

Matching
Macy LOVES to eat. She is quite impatient when she sees her food is ready. A few of her favorite foods are green beans mixed with carrots (no green beans by themselves), prunes with apples, and mixed veggies.
Kayla has an obsession with having her clothes match Macy's clothes. They have several matching pajama sets. The hard thing is when they don't have a matching outfit we have to try to convince Kayla that they match in some way. Either they both are wearing stripes, flowers, blue pants, etc. She's quite observant!!Saturday, December 1, 2007
Six Months Old
Macy turned 6 months old on Thanksgiving. I am finally getting some sleep. She still wakes up to eat somewhere between 2 and 4 in the morning, but we don't have to go back in there to flip her back to her stomach or put her pacifier back in. She is usually a very happy baby and is quite tolerant of her 2 year old sister.
Christmas Pictures
We had our Christmas pictures taken yesterday. It's so crazy when we go. I always try to get the first appointment of the day because they are always running behind. The girls did pretty well. By the time we were done taking pictures and picking out the ones we wanted Macy was past her usual nap time and Kayla was, well, a 2 year old. She is usually very good (no terrible 2's here), but there is only so much you can expect out of a 2 year old!
